Realce

Realce is an organic, low-intervention winery They are currently focused on producing two flagship labels.

The red is 100% Tempranillo. Avg vine age: 30 years. The vineyards are located between the Jucar and Cabriel Rivers at an avg altitude of 700 meters on limestone/clay soils. Here, the vineyards experience a push-pull between the cool, humid Poniente Wind from the Atlantic and the heat of the Levant Wind that comes from North Africa. The result is a large diurnal temperature fluctuation that favors slow ripening and perfect formation of the phenolics. All fruit is hand-harvested. Fermented in temp-control (24-28 Celsius) stainless steel for 15 days using native yeasts. Aging in cement tanks before bottling.

The white blend is 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 40% Macabeo. Average vine age- 20 years. All the vines are dry-farmed from vineyards at 700 meters altitude that sit on clay/limestone soils. Grapes are harvested and then cold macerated before being pressed into stainless steel. The wine is settled and then slowly fermented with native yeasts at low temperature to preserve freshness.
